Q: Is it true that you can get pregnant before you ever have your first period?
A: Yes, all it take is ovulation, and usually happens two weeks before your period.
Q: What is the best form of birth control?

A: Not having sex until you are married and you are ready to conceive a child. Most birth control methods are at best, 98-99% effective. Only absintance is 100%. If you do chose to have sex, Please always protect your self and your partner from unplanned pregnancy and STDs.
Q: Do I have to have my parents permission to go to get birth control or a pregnancy test?

A: I am not sure of your state's law, but in most states, no. You can obtain either at your county health department or your OB/GYN and they are usually very private, they have to follow the federal privacy laws.
Q: If I am under 18 with a baby am I a legal adult now?

A: Again, this can be different for each state, but in most states no. You have some different rights to your medical care, and legal issue with your child. For example your parents can't make you have an abortion if you are pregnant, that is something only you can decide. I will list some links that you can go to for more information on these types of questions.
Q: Is there help out there for me to be able to still attend school or go to college?

A: Yes, there is a lot of state and federal aide to help young, single mothers stay in school. You may have to be open to different options than traditional school, but the government realizes the importance of everyone including teen mothers to get an education. I will list some links that you can go to for more information on these types of questions.
Q: How can I continue school or go to work to support my baby, I can't afford child care?

A: Again, there is alot of aide out there for mothers needing to work or go to school so that they can get affordable child care. Your local Department of Human Resorces or DFCS can give you information about these programs.
